Our creations are handcrafted, combining traditional manual techniques with modern design methods.
We work as a team in our studio located in the Lot, Occitanie, in the South-West of France.
Our enamel jewelry is made using the high-fire enamel technique.
We design our creations with a focus on quality, while striving to add our touch of originality.
We have a constant desire to learn, progress, and perfect our craft.
It is this combination of technical skill, creativity, and exploration that defines each piece.

The High-Fire Enamel Technique
High-fire enamel is a coloring technique dating back to Antiquity and has always accompanied metalwork.
The high-fire enamel technique gives a decorative dimension to jewelry pieces; it is a decorative art.
It produces works with rich colors and brilliance that last over time.
High-fire enamel gets its name from the high temperatures required to melt enamel.
The jewelry enamel used is a refined crystal made from mineral materials and colored with metallic oxides.
It is crushed and ground into a fine powder.
The enamel is applied in successive layers on specific metals such as copper, gold, or silver.
Through high-temperature firings between 750 and 900°C, the enamel fuses, adheres to the base, and vitrifies.
Creating a piece requires multiple steps, including several enamel layer applications and various firings.

The Origin of the Enamels
Our enamel supplier is the Cristallerie de Saint Paul near Limoges.
It is the only French manufacturer of enamels for application on copper, gold, and silver.
With over two centuries of experience, Soyer produces the highest quality jewelry enamels currently available on the global market.

Designation
All our enamel jewelry is high-fire enamel, excluding the use of resins or polymers in their composition. These materials degrade over time, altering color and shine. This is not the case with jewelry made using the high-fire enamel technique; its appearance and characteristics will last over time.
It is common to see the term "enamel" used for resins or polymers applied cold or at low temperatures, requiring less technical skill.
A decree reserves the use of the term "enamel":
“The designations Email or Enamels are reserved for vitrifiable products resulting from the fusion, vitrification, or sintering of a substance made of mineral materials. These products are intended to form one or more layers of a vitrified coating, melted at a temperature of at least 500 degrees C.”
Decree No. 82-223 of February 25, 1982
Silver
Certain components of our jewelry are made of silver.
It is solid 925 sterling silver.
The bails on our pendants are made in the United Kingdom.
The chains we offer to accompany our jewelry are made in Italy.
Our jewelry contains no nickel, which is allergenic.
